Is the system easy to use?
Home security and alarm systems have come a long way. If you can dial a touch-tone telephone you can operate a security system. You will only need a code to turn the system on and off. Most children can quickly learn to use the system.
What is Cellular Backup?
Cellular Backup is using the worldwide sideband cellular system – the fastest transmission signals in the world. This enables our Central Station to get emergency respondents to you faster.
I sold my house what should I do?
Similar to any other utility company, we need an adequate amount of time to process your request. Please notify us at least one week prior to your closing date. We may need to stop by to disconnect the system.
I forgot my password, now what?
If you have forgotten your password, please look at the copy of your Monitoring Agreement. In the upper right hand corner you will see a number listed. Call into our Central Station and give this number to one of our highly trained monitors and they will be happy to assist you further. Please be sure to keep this information in a safe and secure place. You may also come to our office with proper ID and we will happy to assist you.
What happens if the power goes off to my home?
Your alarm system is equipped with a battery backup, so your protection will not be interrupted after a power failure.
How often should I test my system?
We recommend that you test your system monthly. Please call the Central Station at 716-675-2760 or 800-225-3753 to let them know that you are going to test and give them your code, name, and/or number.
What happens when I trip my alarm system?
When an alarm occurs in your home or business, a signal is sent through your phone line, or through a cellular system, to our Central Station. At the Central Station our highly trained monitors will provide the proper response to your alarm. If a fire alarm is received, the local fire department is notified. If a burglar alarm is received, we will verify the alarm with a call to the location. If we are unable to verify, the local police department is notified, then we contact you, and/or the person of your choice (according to your on-call list). If a sump pump alarm is received, we will try to notify you. If you are unavailable we will then notify the person of your choice according to your on-call list.
